AI Trading

DART allows you to apply AI and manual trading strategies from your Trade Wallet via the use of ‘Trade Scripts’, ‘Trade Alerts’, and ‘Custom Actions’.

Trade Alerts

Trade Alerts are simple ‘tripwires’ can be used to monitor the crypto markets at large. You can set alerts to notify you when the price of a particular crypto asset goes above or below a particular level.

Custom Actions

These are actions that you can program to take effect off a Trade Alert. For example, you may program the system to automatically purchase BTC once its price drops before a certain threshold etc. These actions use your Trade Balance to execute and move the balance to the Exchange (Portfolio) where the purchase or sold asset will be available.

Trade Scripts

Trade Scripts are much more sophisticated and are designed to execute trades on your Trade Wallet automatically. It is easy to think of Trade Scripts as combinations of multiple Alerts and Actions occurring simultaneously.

Trade Scripts are provided by third party developers and providers via the DART Labs program and have their own set of parameters including:

  • Minimum balance – Minimum amount of USDC required to execute the script.
  • Max balance – Maximum amount of USDC allowed for the script.
  • Performance history – The net negative or growth of balances under the Trade Script in the past 30 days.
  • Strategy – Basic description of what scenarios the script looks for.
  • Withdrawal Schedule – How often the script forces a withdrawal of profits to the Trade Wallet.
  • Data Fees – what data fees and exchanges are used as liquidity partners on the trading.
  • On-Offboarding Time – This is the time it takes from the moment you execute or exit a script for it to actively begin trading on your balance or stop trading.

A single DART account can support up to 30 active Trade Scripts at a given time. You may not add or remove partial amounts to a Trade Script once it is active. You will need to terminate the script and start a new one to make changes to the balance assigned so review carefully before activating a script.

Fees

All Trade Scripts have a fixed requisition cost which is distributed to the third-party developer of the script. Additionally, a fee of up to 20% of the gross profit generated is applied in accordance with the Withdrawal Schedule to the Trade Service Provider. Note that this fee only triggers when a net profit withdrawal is posted in the account and not on any unrealized ‘paper’ profits.

There is no fee on Alerts and Actions except for any purchase/sale of assets which incur normal conversion and blockchain transfer fees depending on the asset.

Important Terms

  • Minimum balance – Minimum amount of USDC required to execute the script.
  • Conversion – Upto a 3% cost (usually under 1%) is incurred when converting from the USDC base to different assets for trading.
  • Performance history – The net negative or growth of balances under the Trade Script in the past 30 days.
  • Transfer – A single unit fee of 1 to 80 USDC may be incurred when initially transferring USDC into a trade script. This cost is a function of the gas fees and exchanges involved and varies by time and asset type.
  • Maker-Taker fees – what data fees and exchanges are used as liquidity partners on the trading.
  • On-Offboarding Time – These are fees charged by background exchanges when different trades are executed. Note that these costs are already accounted for within the profit-loss statements presented by the Trade Script performance history.
